We are infinitely grateful to our esteemed sponsors who have supported us along the way. Their unfailing moral and material support have steadily provided us with the courage and the means to pursue such a bold enterprise.

Equally, we owe a very special debt of gratitude to the Sachen Foundation for endowing our Sakya Academy with a generous grant of US$25,000 in December 2019.
This went a long way in helping us pay our teachers' wages and purchase textbooks and classroom materials.

All our children come from disadvantaged families. They need to be fed, dressed and kept healthy.

SPECIAL PROJECTS

COMPUTER LAB

We wish to make our children citizens of the world. For this, they need to be fully equipped to meet its challenges.
.
Computer skills are an essential requisite to achieve this.
.
Thanks to the enormous kindness of our generous sponsors, two fully-equipped computer labs have been installed and are serving our children's educational needs. Needless to say, our students are elated and hugely grateful.

LIBRARY
.
It is impossible to exaggerate the importance of a library in a school.
.
And so, the project dearest to our hearts has been the creation of a space where our children have the opportunity to discover the joy of reading and of deepening their understanding of the world that they live in.
Our aim has been to provide our students with an array of tools for learning. This includes both fiction and non-fiction books, reference material, magazines and newspapers. In addition, computers to enhance and deepen the children's learning experience.
From the bottom of their hearts, our children thank those generous benefactors who have made this project reality. It has been key to the children enjoying the full benefit of a sound education.

Sakya Academy belongs to Sakya Centre, His Holiness the 41st Sakya Trizin's main monastery in India, and all donations to our school are processed through Sakya Centre's bank account. The proceeds from each donation are used exclusively for the purpose designated by you.
Sakya Centre is a charitable society registered under the Societies Registration Act of XXI of 1860. It is also registered under the Foreign Contribution Regulation Act (FCRA), which allows it to receive contributions from abroad. In accordance with government regulations, a strict record of each donation is kept and is shared with the donor via email.
