Founders Day and Jetsunma’s Birthday
Today was Founders Day at Sakya Academy!
And it was our dearest Jetsunma Tsejin Lhamo’s 10th Birthday!
Rinpoche, Dagmo Kushok, Jetsunma and the Dungseys were not able to participate in person but, thanks to Zoom, the Sakya Academy family was brought together on this very special occasion. Rinpoche, Dagmo Kushok and the children were able to watch the students as they performed their wonderful songs, dances, sketches and recitations. And the children felt as if their Guru and his family was really there with them.
And everybody came together to sing Happy Birthday to Jetsunma, while one of our younger children blew the candles on her cake for her!

The Great Sakya Monlam
The Annual Great Sakya Monlam of prayers for world peace is being celebrated over the course of 10 days at Sakya Academy.
It is being led by Khöndung Gyana Vajra Rinpoche, with the participation of Dungsey Siddharth Vajra Rinpoche and Jetsunma Tsejin Lhamo, along with the scripture teachers and senior monks of the school.
